Guidelines for Ramanujan Spark Quest (B/CAPS)

Each school can nominate five students each from Classes 6 to 10. Participants have to answer 50 questions in one hour, and the total marks are 200.

There will be 30 questions based on science (physics, chemistry, biology) and the remaining 20 will be related to mathematics and mental ability. Each question has four options, and students have to select and shade the correct option on the OMR sheet with a ball pen.

Participants get four marks for every correct answer and one negative mark for every wrong answer. If two or more students have the same total score, the score in mathematics/mental ability will be used to break the tie.

The winner will receive a cash prize, trophies, and a merit certificate. The first and second runners-up will also receive cash prize, trophies, and merit certificates. Every participant will receive participation certificates.

Schools can register by emailing the participants’ names and contact details on or before December 11 to mlrcir@thehindu.co.in. or scan the QR code tinyurl.com/THiSRisingStarstinyurl.com/THiSRisingStars.
