Anbil Mahesh meets children of govt. school in Thuvakudi

Minister for School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi on Friday conducted a surprise inspection at the Government Model School at Thuvakudi near Tiruchi, where a Class XII student allegedly ended his life on Thursday.

During the visit, the Minister enquired about the recent death of a student by interacting with officials of the School Education Department and teachers. He interacted with students.

On Thursday, a Class XII boy, a native of Vellore district who had been staying in the school hostel for the past two months, allegedly ended his life on the institution premises. Earlier, in June, a Class XII girl reportedly ended her life in the hostel.

Mr. Mahesh directed the officials to organise motivational programmes to instil confidence among the students of the affected class and their parents. He reviewed records and confirmed that the students had received medical consultations through doctors on four occasions over the past two months.
