A.P. extends support to Centre’s Clean Mobility Transition Movement

The State government announced full support to the Centre’s Clean Mobility Transition Movement, aimed at boosting the economy and protecting the environment.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed the Transport Department to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for energy efficiency and 100% electrification of the APSRTC fleet under the State’s e-Mobility policy, said Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) National Advisor (Government Affairs and Media) A. Chandra Sekhar Reddy.

He said the landmark initiative was set to position Andhra Pradesh as a frontrunner in clean transport across India, while contributing meaningfully to the global fight against climate change and safeguarding the interests of future generations.

Special Chief Secretary (Transport, Roads & Buildings) M.T. Krishna Babu emphasised the importance of engaging stakeholders—both at the State and national level—in this transformative movement. He sought the support of EESL and Bureau of Energy Efficiency for taking the State’s e-Mobility initiative forward.
