A valedictory ceremony was held at Air Force Station Begumpet on Saturday to mark the completion of the No. 109th Advance Navigation Course, the No. 141st ab-initio Navigation Course and the Stage II and III Weapon System courses. The event was reviewed by Air Vice Marshal Sanjeev Kumar Taliyan, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Intelligence).
The graduating batch of the 109th Advance Navigation Course included seven officers, among them two from the Indian Navy, one from the Indian Coast Guard and one from the Royal Malaysian Air Force. They will now take up instructional roles in their respective services. The 141st ab-initio Navigation Course comprised five flight cadets of the Indian Air Force and one officer from the Sri Lankan Air Force.
The flight cadets will be commissioned as officers in the Indian Air Force at the Combined Graduation Parade scheduled to be held at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal on December 13.
For seven decades, the Navigation Training School has trained flight cadets to become proficient navigators and provided advanced instructional techniques to aviators from the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and several partner nations. The Weapon Systems School plays a crucial role in bringing all weapon system operators under a single specialised framework, offering contemporary training designed to produce officers capable of meeting the force’s evolving operational needs.
