Apple Watch Series 11 And Ultra 3 Leak Ahead Of Sep 9 ‘Awe Dropping’ Event

Apple is gearing up to refresh its smartwatch portfolio at the upcoming Awe Dropping event on September 9. Alongside the highly anticipated iPhone 17 lineup, the company is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 11 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3, marking the latest upgrades to its wearable range.
Apple Watch Series 11 is expected to deliver modest yet meaningful upgrades when it debuts at Apple’s September 9 event. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the design will largely mirror the Series 10 but with improvements such as a brighter display for better outdoor visibility. Apple may also offer new colours and strap choices while resolving durability issues linked to the Jet Black finish on the previous model.

Unlike the Series 10, which was considered a major redesign, the Series 11 will be more incremental in nature. It is expected to feature the new S11 chip and a MediaTek modem with 5G RedCap support for wearables. While speculation has long pointed to the addition of blood pressure monitoring, Gurman notes the feature is still not ready for commercial rollout. Pre-orders are expected to begin on September 12, with shipping from September 19.

As for the Apple Watch Ultra 3, fresh leaks suggest it may include Apple’s largest display yet, with slimmer bezels and higher resolution. This change would enhance outdoor readability and allow more space for data-rich watch faces. The device is also expected to sport a sleeker design overall, making it a standout in Apple’s premium wearable category.

Internally, the Ultra 3 could run on either a refined S10 chip or the new S11, potentially creating room for a larger battery or additional sensors. It is tipped to incorporate LTPO3 OLED technology for smoother animations and improved always-on performance. Alongside the iPhone 17 lineup, these watch updates highlight Apple’s growing emphasis on health features, durability, and advanced performance in its wearables.
