Celebrating a decade of Hyderabad Randonneurs
The Hyderabad Randonneurs marked their 10-year milestone with a special celebratory ride of 25km and 50km recently.
Over 120 seasoned cyclists, women riders and children participated enthusiastically in the event which was a grand reunion, bringing together the city’s randonneuring community.
Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Banjara Hills, played host to the event, serving as both the start and finish point.
Veteran riders Dr. Adalat Ali, Venugopal Raju Penmetcha, Krishna Mandava, and P.V. Sivaram were felicitated in recognition of their contributions to the cycling community, said a release from Hyderabad Randonneurs.
Hyderabad Randonneurs opened the gateways for several cycling enthusiasts to embark on their journeys across India and the globe. Several riders from the city went on to ride from Kashmir-Kanyakumari, Paris-Brest-Paris, London-Edinburg-London, North Cape 4000 – and the list goes on, said Rajeev Kalva of Hyderabad Randonneurs.
