Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister B. Ajith Reddy on Friday reviewed the various initiatives being implemented by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE).
BIE Secretary Krishna Aditya explained the academic activities and student-centric initiatives taken up in all government junior colleges in the State.
Mr. Reddy inspected the Command Control Room and took stock of the CCTV surveillance network covering all colleges. He monitored about 430 colleges and interacted with officials regarding student attendance and academic progress.
He lauded the implementation of the Facial Recognition System (FRS) for capturing real-time attendance of students and staff, its significance for improved attendance, effective management of employee resources, and transparency in college operations.
He also inspected the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and expressed satisfaction over its resolution of students’ grievances, and the Human Resource Management System portal, its role in streamlining employee leave management and other service-related processes.
Mr. Krishna Aditya explained that the initiatives are contributing to the holistic development of students. Measures such as CCTV surveillance and facial recognition – based attendance systems have enhanced performance.
