Cold weather conditions persist in Punjab, Haryana

There was no let-up in cold weather conditions in Punjab and Haryana on Monday (January 13, 2025) with Amritsar recording the lowest minimum temperature of 4.7 degrees Celsius.
Among other places in Punjab, Ludhiana recorded a minimum temperature of 8.8 degrees Celsius, according to a meteorological department report.
Faridkot recorded a low of 5.3 degrees Celsius, Pathankot 5.6 degrees Celsius, Gurdaspur 6.5 degrees Celsius, Bathinda 6.8 degrees Celsius and Patiala 7.6 degrees Celsius.
In Haryana, the mercury settled at a low of 8.8 degrees Celsius.
Karnal recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius, Hisar and Sirsa 7.8 degrees Celsius, Bhiwani 8.5 degrees Celsius and Rohtak 11.2 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh, the common capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a low of 8.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.
