Company provides 12 free two-bedroom flats to descendants of tribal freedom fighter Gantam Dora

NCC Limited, a construction and infrastructure company, has undertaken a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by providing 12 two-bedroom flats free of cost to the descendants of Manyam hero Gam Gantam Dora, in Lanka Veedhi, Battapanuka of Koyyuru mandal in Alluri Seetharama Raju District.
This initiative directly benefits the descendants of freedom fighter who played a vital role in India’s freedom struggle alongside the legendary revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju.
Chairman Emeritus of NCC Limited A.V.S. Raju was honoured by President Draupadi Murmu during the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Alluri Sitharama Raju on July 4, 2023. Mr Raju had pledged to donate residential flats to tribal villagers to improve their living standards.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has provided the land to the descendants of Gam Gantam Dora and NCC constructed these flats at a total project cost of ₹2.5 crore. It shows NCC commitment to fostering inclusive growth and addressing the housing needs of marginalised communities, according to a statement issued by the company here on Monday.
Two blocks, having ground, first and second floors, and each floor having only two flats were constructed. Built with a focus on comfort and functionality, the flats offer a secure and dignified living environment for the residents. This initiative is part of a series of CSR activities undertaken by the company to make a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged communities.
Managing Director of NCC Ltd A.A.V. Ranga Raju said that the company was proud to contribute to the betterment of tribal families, who are descendants of freedom fighters.
