Customs officials in Andhra destroy ganja, cigarettes worth crores of rupees

The Customs Commissionerate (Preventive) in Vijayawada destroyed cigarettes worth about ₹2.73 crore that did not comply with the statutory pictorial health warnings mandated under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA-2003).

Also, Customs and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials destroyed 2,420.18 kg ganja, said to be worth ₹2.96 crore, on Friday (January 24), according to Customs Commissioner Sadhu Narasimha Reddy.
