‘Dhurandhar’ trailer: Ranveer Singh battles ultimate baddies in Aditya Dhar’s violent actioner

The trailer of Ranveer Singh headliner Dhurandhar was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday, November 18. Written, helmed and produced by URI: The Surgical Strike (2019) director Aditya Dhar, the film also stars R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles.

The trailer introduces the characters played by all the actors. It opens with an extended violent scene featuring Arjun, who plays Major Iqbal from Pakistan’s ISI. Referred to as the ‘angel of death’, Iqbal is shown torturing a person, as he vows for a deadly attack on India.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Madhavan plays, Ajay Sanyal from the Indian intelligence as he is shown having a firm conversation with his superior. “We must infiltrate the very core of Pakistan”, he says. Ranveer is briefly shown in his rugged beard look, as he seems to navigate a foreign land.

Akshaye plays Rehman Dakait, another violent man shown stomping a person to death. Sanjay makes an entry in the trailer, as he exits from a car, smoking a cigarette. He plays SP Chaudhary Aslam. The film promises to be an action packed, violent entertainer with Ranveer’s character at the center of the events.

The film features music and background score by Shashwat Sachdev and lyrics by Irshad Kamil. It has been shot by Vikash Nowlakha and edited by Shivkumar V. Panicker.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios), Aditya and Lokesh Dhar (B62 Studios), Dhurandhar is set to be released in theatres on December 5.
