ENG vs IND: What is the highest successful run chase by England in Test matches?

England’s highest successful run chase in Tests came in 2022 when it overhauled a 378-run target in the rescheduled fifth Test against India at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Its second highest chase in the format also came against India, when it hunted down a 371-run target at Headingley in Leeds during the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series.

That was England’s sixth-highest successful run chase of 300 runs or more in Test matches. Three of those six victories have come in the last six years, starting with the famous one-wicket win at Headingley against Australia, in which Ben Stokes played a knock for the ages.
If England manages to overhaul the 374-run target set by India at The Oval in the ongoing Test match, it will be its second-highest successful chase in the format.
