Enhanced security put in place in Thiruvananthapuram airport

Close on the heels of the blast near Delhi’s historic Red Fort that injured over 20 people and claimed 13 lives so far, the passenger screening protocols have been enhanced for departing passengers at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.

Passengers are advised to arrive ahead of their scheduled departure and cooperate with security personnel. The security has been enhanced, as the safety and security of passengers and airport personnel remains the utmost priority, said a statement from the airport here on Tuesday (November 11, 2025).
