Four sentenced to ten years in jail for transporting ganja

Four drug peddlers were sentenced to undergo 10 years imprisonment by a Sangareddy court on Friday. The court also slapped a fine of ₹1 lakh each for the illegal transport of ganja.

The accused have been identified as Rathod Mohan, Rathod Venkat, Ketavath Pandu Nayak and Rathod Mothiram.

The case dates back to February 2021, when the Sangareddy excise team intercepted the accused and seized 102 kilograms of ganja from them. The case was registered by the Zaheerabad Excise Station, and a detailed probe was initiated.
