From The Hindu, November 25, 1925: Egyptian politics

Cairo, Nov. 24: All Egyptian provinces, with one or two exceptions, have sent the letters to King Fuad declaring that they unite with the nation in its desire for the revival of representative parliamentary life. If this is not granted it will cause unrest which the provinces know does not accord with His Majesty’s wishes. Opposition groups are protesting against the intention of the Ministry to promulgate a new electoral law declaring that the old parliament must stand.
