Full list of Indian Test captains: Rishabh Pant to become India’s 38th Test skipper
Rishabh Pant will become the 38th Indian Test captain after it was confirmed that Shubman Gill was ruled out of the second Test against South Africa starting on Saturday.
Gill, who picked up a neck injury in Kolakta, had taken on the cpataincy role earlier this year, during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy againat England in June-July.
Virat Kohli, who also retired from the longest format last month, has led India in the most number of Tests (68).
