State Police Chief Ravada Chandrasekhar has awarded good service entry to 11 police officers, including District Police Chief (Kozhikode City) T. Narayanan and Deputy Commissioner of Police Arun K. Pavithran, who were part of a special investigation team that recently cracked a major man missing case.
The other team members are T. Ashraf (Assistant Commissioner of Police), K.R. Renjith (Inspector), Hareesh Kumar (Sub Inspector), Suresh Kumar (Sub Inspector), Biju (Assistant Sub Inspector), K. Prasanth (Senior Civil Police Officer), Vysakh (Civil Police Officer), K. Lajisha (Civil Police Officer), and Madhusoodanan (Civil Police Officer). It was in 2019 that the missing case was registered at the Elathur police station. In the recent investigation, the squad found that the youth had died of a drug overdose. On September 12, 2025, the squad was also able to recover the skeletal remains of the victim, who was allegedly buried by three of his friends to hush up the incident.
