Gram sabhas to finalise Kolleru eco-sensitive zone draft in West Godavari on January 6

The Kolleru Lake Eco-Sensitive Zone District Monitoring Committee, led by District Collector Ch. Nagarani, has said that gram sabhas will be held on January 6 to finalise the draft of the eco-sensitive zone of the Kolluru Lake in the six mandals of Akiveedu, Vundi, Pentapadu, Ganapavaram and Kalla. The meetings will be held at the Tahsildar office of the respective mandal. People will be allowed to share their views on the draft. Kolleru Lake is a wetland and a designated Ramsar Convention site in the State.
