IBM Skills Build initiative a boon for engineering students says JNTU-GV Vice-Chancellor

VIZIANAGARAM:

A one-day student development programme was organised at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University – Gurajada, Vizianagaram (JNTU-GV) campus on Monday.

Speaking at the event, JNTU-GV Vice-Chancellor V.V.Subba Rao said that the ‘’IBM Skills Build’’ initiative is a boon for engineering students as it will help them upgrade their skills and meet the expectations of software industries and other organisations.

Along with the IBM Skills Build experts Ashwin Chandra and Sheikh Usman Gani, the V-C interacted with students and discussed the rapid changes in technology and the growing impact of artificial intelligence. The IBM experts spoke about AI ethics, future employment opportunities, deep learning, computer vision, machine learning and other related topics.

University Registrar G. Jaya Suma, principal R. Rajeswara Rao and other faculty members were present.
