Priyansh Arya smashed an 82-ball century during the first India A vs Australia A unofficial ODI at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Wednesday.
Arya’s attacking innings included 11 fours and five sixes. He fell two balls later, trying to go whack Tanveer Sangha down but is caught at long off.
The opener added 135 runs for the opening wicket off just 123 deliveries along with Prabhsimran Singh after Australia A put the host into bat.
The 24-year-old began his innings with a cut in the first over and continued to take on the bowlers at will, driving anything overpitch or wide. He hit the first maximum of the match against Sam Elliot, pulling him over deep square leg region.
Todd Murphy had begun well but Arya was quick to take control from him, hitting the off spinner for three fours in one over. He reached his half-century in 60 balls and continued to attack to reach the three-figure mark in the next 22 balls.
