Archrivals India and Pakistan will lock horns on the opening day of the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 cricket tournament at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong on Friday.
Both teams are placed in Pool C, along with Kuwait. The 12 participating teams have been grouped in four pools of three each. The group stage of the competition will follow a single round-robin format, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the quarterfinals, which will be held on Saturday. The semifinals and final are scheduled for Sunday.
India will be led by wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik, who had announced his retirement from international cricket last year.
