India wins gold in compound men’s team, silver in mixed event at World Archery Championships 2025

India opened its account at the World Archery Championships 2025, striking gold in the compound men’s team event and silver in the compound mixed team event in Gwangju, Korea, on Sunday.
The second-ranked Indian men’s team, comprising Rishabh Yadav, Aman Saini and Prathamesh Fuge, beat France 235-233 to clinch the country’s first-ever gold in the category.
En route to the final, India had registered impressive wins over Australia, powerhouse USA, and Turkey.
Meanwhile, India’s mixed team duo of Rishabh and Jyothi Surekha Vennam had to settle for silver after losing to the lower-ranked Netherlands 155-157.
The fourth-slotted Indian mixed team had beaten Germany, El Salvador and Chinese Taipei to enter the final.
