ISL 2024-25: Hyderabad FC hosts Mohammedan in a bottom-of-the-table clash
A struggling Hyderabad FC will take on bottom-placed Mohammedan Sporting Club in an ISL 2024-25 clash at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The spotlight will be on Hyderabad’s defence, which has given away six goals in their last two matches, the saving grace being unbeaten at home in the three previous games.
Former champion Hyderabad has 13 points from 18 matches, drawing twice and winning once in its last five matches while Mohammedan is bottom-placed with 11 points from 18 games with two wins, five draws and 11 losses.
Hyderabad FC interim head coach Shameel Chembakath said that his team had looked to develop in areas where they fell behind during their defeat to NorthEast United FC.

“We have worked on some areas where we lacked in our last match against NorthEast United FC. We have done some good recovery and worked on areas where we need to improve upon,” he said.
The Kolkata side should seek to end its struggles in front of goal, having netted the least number of times (eight) in the competition thus far.
For his part, Mohammedan assistant coach Mehrajuddin Wadoo stressed the importance of focusing on the present to get good results in the remaining games.
“I agree that the last game wasn’t good. We didn’t play well. We still have six more games to go, and we are trying not to think too much of the past and instead focus more on the coming games,” he said.
