Party State president H.D. According to a press release, the panel comprises A. Manju, Arkalgud MLA; M.T. Krishnappa, Turuvekere MLA; MLCs T.A. Sharavana and T.N. Javarayi Gowda; Nikhil Kumaraswamy, president of the State unit of Yuva JD(S); former Deputy Speaker M. Krishna Reddy; former MLAs Suresh Gowda and A. Manjunath; Bengaluru City unit president H.M. Ramesh Gowda and former MLC K.A. Tippeswamy.
Panel’s role
The committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of setting up ward-level organisational units in the newly formed municipal corporations and strengthening the party’s base. These local units will comprise senior leaders, former corporators and candidates who contested the previous Assembly elections.
Mr. Kumaraswamy has also directed the panel to prepare coordination and seat-sharing plans with alliance partners in the NDA bloc and chalk out an election strategy suited to each civic body, the release said.
