Jewellery, cash stolen from marriage hall in Namakkal


 Burglars stole jewellery and cash from a marriage hall on Friday.

Rajavel, a resident of Vennandur, is a block education officer at Elachipalayam. He arranged marriage for his daughter in a hall near Rasipuram Court on Friday. He kept 29 sovereigns of jewellery and ₹7.50 lakh in cash in the bride’s room. Later in the afternoon, after the marriage function, family members found the cash and jewellery missing.

On information, Rasipuram police rushed to the spot and verified the CCTV cameras at the marriage hall and found two persons involved in the burglary. The police registered a case and are on the lookout for the culprits.
