Luca Guadagnino’s latest psychological thriller, After the Hunt, has secured its global streaming debut, landing on Prime Video on 20 November 2025. The film unites an A-list ensemble — Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny — in a tense academic drama written by Nora Garrett.

Roberts leads the cast as a respected college professor whose life unravels when a gifted student, played by Edebiri, accuses one of her colleagues of serious misconduct. The allegation puts pressure on the institution and forces Roberts’ character into a moral crisis, made more volatile by the resurfacing of a long-buried secret from her own past. Garfield stars as the colleague at the centre of the accusation, with Stuhlbarg and Sevigny rounding out the supporting cast.

The film marks Guadagnino’s return to intimate, character-driven drama, following his recent run of high-profile features. Prime Video describes After the Hunt as a story about a woman “at a personal and professional crossroads,” navigating a collision of ethics, loyalty and unresolved guilt.

Producers include Brian Grazer, Guadagnino, Jeb Brody and Allan Mandelbaum, with Karen Lunder, Justin Wilkes, Alice Dawson and Garrett serving as executive producers.
