The formation of the new Madanapalle district is progressing rapidly, with authorities racing to complete key administrative arrangements by the end of December.

Annamayya District Collector Nishant Kumar confirmed on Saturday (Decemberr 06) that the groundwork for the district’s official launch on January 1 is nearing completion.

Accompanied by Sub-Collector Challa Kalyani, the Collector conducted a detailed inspection of proposed temporary office locations, including the BT College, GMR Polytechnic College, and the Revenue Buildings, in Madanapalle. The Collector reviewed infrastructure availability, space allocation, connectivity, and departmental readiness to ensure seamless functioning once the district becomes operational.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Mr. Nishant Kumar said that the government’s announcement of the new district has set the stage for swift administrative restructuring. “We are working on establishing the Collectorate, SP office, Revenue Office and other government departments on a priority basis. All essential arrangements will be completed within this month to enable full-scale operations of the Madanapalle district from January 1,” he said.

The Collector observed that the new district is expected to enhance administrative efficiency, improve service delivery, and better address local needs. Officials from the revenue, police, and election wings have been instructed to coordinate closely to avoid any logistical hurdles during the transition.
