A 30-year-old man was arrested for attacking a youth in Salem on Tuesday (October 28, 2025).
The arrested was identified as Suresh alias Bhrammanayagam, a resident of Tirunelveli district.
Ramakrishnan (18) of Athikaripatti near Ammapet, was a polytechnic college student. According to the police, Suresh had sent obscene messages to Ramakrishnan’s girlfriend. On October 25, when Suresh came to Salem, Ramakrishnan had demanded Suresh to delete the photos of his girlfriend, which he refused and attacked Ramakrishnan.
The Pallapatti police registered a case and arrested Suresh on Tuesday. He was remanded in prison.
