Miraculous escape for 29 passengers as private bus catches fire

Twenty-nine passengers on a private bus had a miraculous escape after it was gutted by fire at Thalagasi Palli Cross in Garladinne mandal, Anantapur district, in the early hours of Friday. According to Garladinne police, the fire broke out after a tyre burst, causing flames to spread rapidly through the vehicle. The driver immediately swerved to the left and safely parked the bus, alerting the passengers. They managed to evacuate using the emergency exit and by breaking the windows. The bus, which was en route to Raichur via Bengaluru, was reduced to ashes within minutes, before Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene.
