‘Neta Sab So Rahe’ Six-Hour 7 Km Gurugram Traffic Jam After 4 Hours Of Relentless Rain Triggers The Internet: Watch

A massive traffic snarl ensued on the NH-48 interchange and Dwarka Expressway, leaving the commuters in a lurch as they waited hours to get back home.
Thousands of vehicles were stuck in the Gurugram traffic jam after relentless rain. Some accounts online claimed the jam extended to even 20 kilometers, while media reports 7 kilometers of jam in the millennium city after 4 hours of relentless rain. Earlier in 2016, the city witnessed a massive jam of 20 hours after a heavy downpour.
Amid the monsoon rain, the local administrator has issued an advisory to corporates for work from home and schools to conduct online classes until September 2.

2 hours of rain = 20 KMs of Gurgaon Jam!
As CM Nayab Saini only flies in “State Helicopter” and doesn’t travel on “road”, this is a “helicopter shot” of Highway in Gurgaon just now.
So much for the rain preparedness and crores and crores of public money spent on drainage,… pic.twitter.com/HCNPYZkG2c

Reactions poured in on social media as netizens took a dig. “More IITs researching gomutra,” Bollywood scriptwriter, lyricist, and comic Varun Grover took a scathing dig.
“Hope the opposition party takes the govt to the cleaners on this topic. There has been a huge social media outrage over this issue for quite some time now. The government may be useless and not acting. Hope to see the opposition do its job and bring the government to ground,” remarked another netizen.
“We have this every day in Mumbai… triple engine again,’ a third user took a jibe.
Yet another user quipped, “Gated communities are not enough to protect the affluent from the breakdown of governance.”

“Swadeshi roads, Swadeshi planning, swadeshi babus, katne ko swadeshi Janta,”

Meanwhile, amid the traumatic traffic chaos in the town, a user on X/Twitter shared how a cabbie spent 6+ hours “without complaining,” trying to get her home while only stating, “ma’am pay whatever extra you want.”
I want to thank ur driver partner Mr. Suraj Maurya from bottom of my heart. He was with me for 6+ hours because of #GurgaonTraffic but didn’t complain at all. Dropped me home in these waters. Politely said ma’am pay whatever extra u want.
