‘One Family, One Entrepreneur’ is our goal: Andhra MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas
Minister for MSMEs Kondapalli Srinivas on Wednesday (September 17) said ‘One Family – One Entrepreneur’ in every household was the government’s goal and concerted efforts were being made to achieve it.
Participating as chief guest in the Business Development Service (BDS) provider certificate distribution programme organised by the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of AP (ALEAP) at its industrial estate in Surampalli village of Krishna district, Mr. Srinivas said the BDS providers play a key role in making the government’s vision a reality and emphasised that MSMEs were vital for inclusive growth.
He urged the BDS providers to extend technical guidance, advisory services and market linkages to entrepreneurs across the State. The Minister presented certificates to 53 trained BDS providers under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme.
He also unveiled the BDS providers training manual and appreciated the AP MSME Development Corporation for partnering with ALEAP for training and empanelling 1,200 BDS providers, five in each one of the 175 Assembly constituencies, for strengthening the MSME support.
Highlighting the ALEAP’s initiative of establishing a women-led industrial estate at Kuppam, Mr. Srinivas suggested a similar facility be set up in Vizianagaram district to support the enterprises in the north coastal districts.
AP Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) CEO V. Karuna, ALEAP president K. Rama Devi, vice-president Annapurna and others were present.
On the occasion, SERP and ALEAP entered into an MoU for promoting rural entrepreneurship by leveraging ALEAP’s business expertise and SERP’s rural network. The aim is to provide the SHGs and rural enterprises greater access to technical knowledge, build capacities and establish business linkages.
