The Disciplinary Action Committee of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founded by S. Ramadoss will send a second show-cause notice to his estranged son and party leader Anbumani Ramadoss, seeking an explanation as to why action should not be taken against him for his “anti-party activities.”

Speaking to reporters at his Thailapuram residence on Wednesday (September 3, 2025), Mr. Ramadoss said the Administrative Committee of the party had unanimously decided to grant time till September 10 to Mr. Anbumani to respond to the notice. The party’s general secretary will send the notice for the second time, he said, adding that no explanation was received so far in response to the first notice.

“If no response is received for the [second] notice, the views of the Disciplinary Action Committee and Administrative Committee will be elicited, and the party will act accordingly,” he said.
