Poco Launches F8 Ultra And F8 Pro With Bose-Tuned Audio At Global Event
Poco has officially stepped into the premium smartphone category with the global launch of its flagship F8 Ultra and F8 Pro, unveiled at an event in Bali. Once known primarily for delivering high power at aggressive mid-range pricing, the company is now positioning itself directly against premium competitors by focusing on design, audio quality and battery performance.
A major highlight of the F8 series is Poco’s new partnership with Bose. Both the F8 Ultra and F8 Pro feature stereo speakers tuned in collaboration with the audio brand. The Ultra model also includes a dedicated miniature subwoofer, a rarity even among top-tier smartphones, aimed at delivering deeper bass for users who consume large amounts of video and gaming content on mobile.

Poco F8 Ultra: Flagship Hardware With Emphasis on Audio and Display
The F8 Ultra serves as the top model in the lineup. It features a 6.9-inch OLED display and runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Poco has paired it with its in-house VisionBoost D8 chip to support functions such as AI-driven upscaling. The Ultra’s HyperRGB display technology utilises the red, green and blue subpixels fully to deliver sharper text and enhanced visual clarity.
The device carries a triple 50-megapixel camera setup at the rear and supports wireless charging. Battery capacity is another key feature: Poco has equipped the phone with a 6,500mAh unit, the highest ever in its F-series, targeting users who want longer use times without frequent charging.
The company is also pushing a new design language, most notably through the Denim edition of the F8 Ultra. Although it resembles denim fabric, the back panel is made from a Xiaomi-developed nanotech material designed to provide durability while offering a distinctive look.
Poco F8 Pro: A Slightly Lower Tier With Flagship Features Intact
Positioned just below the Ultra, the F8 Pro features a 6.59-inch display and a micro-curved design that blends softly into the rear panel. It uses last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform but still targets high-performance users. With a 6,210mAh battery, Poco says the device can deliver up to 16 hours of continuous usage.
Both phones offer IP68 dust and water resistance and run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3. Audio is a shared focus across the lineup, though the subwoofer remains exclusive to the Ultra.
Global Pricing and Availability
The Poco F8 Pro starts at USD 579 for the 12GB+256GB model and goes up to USD 629 for the 12GB+512GB variant. The F8 Ultra begins at USD 729 and reaches USD 799 for the highest configuration. Early-bird prices lower these figures by approximately USD 50. Prices for markets like India are yet to be announced.
The launch marks Poco’s clearest shift yet toward the premium smartphone segment, with the company aiming to expand its identity beyond performance-centric mid-range devices.
