Power supply will be temporarily suspended in several parts of Eluru on Saturday due to essential repair and maintenance works on the 11kV Power Peta feeder, officials said on Thursday.
According to K.M. Ambedkar, Executive Engineer of Eluru Operation Circle, Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh (APEPDCL), the power shutdown is necessary to carry out line repairs and remove tree branches obstructing the power cable network.
The power interruption will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Areas affected under the Power Peta feeder include GNT Road, Vasanthamahal Centre, Karra Vantena, Power Peta, Old Bus Stand, Pandurangapuram, Goods Shed Road, and surrounding localities.
The Executive Engineer requested the consumers to take note of the scheduled power outage and cooperate.
