Rashford makes debut as Barcelona beats Vissel Kobe in pre-season friendly

Barcelona beat Vissel Kobe 3-1 in a pre-season friendly on Sunday at the Kobe City Misaki Park Stadium in Japan as new arrival Marcus Rashford made his debut for the La Liga champion.
This fixture was part of the Catalans’ Asia tour ahead of the 2025-26 season.

It was Eric Garcia who broke the deadlock and gave Hansi Flick’s side the lead in the 33rd minute. However, Kobe answered back within 10 minutes through Taisei Miyashiro to end the first half 1-1.
However, the Japanese side couldn’t reproduce its efforts after the break as goals from Roony Bardghji (77’) and Pedro Fernandez Sarmiento (87’) secured a comfortable win for Barcelona.

England forward Marcus Rashford was brought on in the second half and spent about 30 minutes on the pitch before being substituted off. Rashford joined the Spanish side on a year-long loan deal from Premier League team Manchester United.
Barcelona will next play FC Seoul on July 31 followed by a match against Daegu on August 4 before it faces Como in the Joan Gamper Trophy.
