RCB vs PBKS: What is the cut-off time for a five-over match after rain delay?

The Indian Premier League 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday was delayed due to rain.

The toss for the contest was scheduled for 7 PM IST but was delayed due to a steady drizzle. Hence, the start of play, scheduled for 7:30 PM IST, was also delayed.

According to the IPL playing conditions, a fixture starting at 7:30 PM IST is expected to finish at 10:50 PM IST. Further, an additional 60 minutes of extra time are allowed for a game.

Hence, if the umpires deem that the match can be concluded by 11:50 PM IST, ground conditions permitting, they proceed with a five-over match.
