Realme is gearing up to launch the GT 8 Pro in India this November, positioning it as a breakthrough in both customisation and sustainability. The smartphone will feature the industry’s first switchable camera bump along with eco-friendly materials, signalling a fresh design direction for the brand. Teasers also confirm that the device will be sold via Flipkart, adding to the growing buzz ahead of its official debut.

Realme is breaking away from the lookalike smartphone trend with the GT 8 Pro, whose standout feature is a fully interchangeable camera bump. Users can unscrew the default module and swap in round, square, or even robot-themed designs in different accent colours, turning the phone into a personal style accessory rather than a fixed, generic device. Realme says this shift answers growing demand for individuality in hardware, extending customisation beyond cases and wallpapers.
The design approach is further enhanced by the Colour-Mix concept, which pairs each themed camera module with a subtly contrasting phone body shade for a more expressive look. The phone will launch in two colours, Diary White and Urban Blue, and features a golden-ratio curve transition, dual 2.5D edges, and a matte metal frame to balance aesthetics, grip, and comfort.

Sustainability plays a major role too: the Urban Blue version features a paper-like leather back made from recycled plastics and textiles, offering a 3D texture without adding bulk. The device also uses organic dyes, eco-safe silicone coating, and precision Photonic Nano-Carving, all backed by Global Recycled Standard certification, Realme’s way of proving that premium design and eco-conscious materials can coexist.
On the performance front, the GT 8 Pro packs dual-chip power with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Hyper Vision + AI combo. It will debut with Realme UI 7.0 and feature cameras co-developed with Ricoh, making it not just a design experiment, but a flagship contender with serious specs.
