Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G Quietly Launched On Website With Snapdragon X Chip: All Details Inside

Samsung has quietly introduced the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G in select markets as the newest member of its Galaxy Book 5 lineup and the successor to last year’s Galaxy Book 4 Edge. The AI-powered laptop features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chipset paired with an Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU, enabling enhanced on-device AI performance. It sports a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display and comes equipped with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB eUFS storage, offering a balanced mix of speed, efficiency and portability.

Samsung has priced the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G at GBP 949 (around Rs. 1,10,900), offering it in a single 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant in Sapphire Blue. The laptop is currently available for purchase in the UK through the Samsung UK website.

The Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G features a 15.6-inch Full HD anti-glare IPS display and weighs 1.66kg. It is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) chipset with a 3.0GHz burst clock speed, paired with an Adreno GPU, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB eUFS storage. Its Hexagon NPU is rated for 45 TOPS, enabling advanced on-device AI tasks.

Samsung has equipped the laptop with a 2-megapixel webcam, dual 1.5W Dolby Atmos speakers, and dual-array microphones. As a certified Copilot+ PC, it supports Cocreator, Windows Studio Effects and Live Captions, enhancing productivity and communication features.

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G offers one USB 3.2 Type-A port, two USB 4.0 Type-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port supporting 4K 60Hz output, a microSD reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and 5G (sub-6GHz). A 61.5Wh battery powers the device, with Samsung claiming up to 27 hours of usage, and it includes a 65W USB-C charger in the box.
