Central, North, and West Zones all secured decisive wins on the inaugural day of the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal T20 Trophy 2025 in Nagaland on Tuesday.
The highlight of the day was West Zone’s massive 126-run victory over North East Zone. Driven by a sensational century from Kiran Navgire, who smashed 112 off just 58 balls, West Zone posted a formidable 201. The chase proved too steep for North East Zone, which was restricted to 75/8. Bowlers Sayali Satghare and AA Patil each claimed two wickets to seal the comprehensive win at the Sovima Cricket Ground.
In the second fixture at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, North Zone triumphed over South Zone by 96 runs. Deeya Yadav’s excellent knock of 67 off 47 deliveries anchored North Zone’s innings, helping it reach 152/5. South Zone’s reply quickly faltered, and it was bundled out for just 56. Amandeep Kaur (3/9) led the bowling attack, with support from Nazma and Mannat Kashyap, who both bagged two wickets.
The day concluded with Central Zone defeating East Zone by 40 runs, also at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium. DD Kasat’s valuable 49 contributed to Central Zone’s total of 148/5. In the second innings, Vaishanavi Sharma delivered a brilliant spell, tearing through East Zone’s top-order with four wickets and confining it to only 108.
