India opener Shubman Gill smashed his second consecutive One-Day International century during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Bangladesh in Dubai on Thursday.

Gill reached the three-figure mark in 125 balls and anchored India’s 229-run chase. His knock included nine fours and two sixes.

This was also Gill’s fourth consecutive score of fifty or more in the format. He had registered scores of 87, 60 and 112 against England in the recently concluded three-match series at home.

The 25-year-old set the tempo with a 69-run opening stand, along with skipper Rohit Sharma. After India lost Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel in quick succession, Gill’s partnership with KL Rahul for the fifth wicket was crucial.
