SMAT 2025-26: Mumbai’s Mhatre scores unbeaten 104 vs Andhra, second consecutive T20 century
Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre purple patch in the ongoing edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy continued as he struck a sublime century against Andhra at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday.
With Mumbai chasing 160 to win, Mhatre took charge of the Mumbai innings, scoring 65 percent of the side’s runs with an unbeaten 104 from just 59 balls.
Striking at a mindblowing rate of 176.27, Mhatre’s innings featured five fours and nine sixes and helped Mumbai close out a nine-wicket win with 4.4 overs to spare.
This is his second consecutive century after he scored 110 off 53 balls to steer Mumbai to a seven-wicket victory while chasing 193 against Vidarbha a few days ago.
This knock was his maiden T20 hundred, with the Chennai Super Kings batter looking in imperious form.
Earlier this week, Mhatre was also named India Under-19 captain for the U-19 Asia Cup in Dubai from December 12 to 21.
