Recalling his long and close association with Obul Reddy, Dr. Prathap Reddy said, “Today, it is easy to start an industry, but in his time, it was not. Yet, he did it with great enthusiasm and dynamism. He was also deeply involved in public service through schools and charitable hospitals.”
“Most of all, during the December music season in Chennai, when people from across the world come to enjoy Carnatic music, he is fondly remembered for encouraging many music sabhas and institutions such as The Music Academy. He supported them with great passion, which is why he was truly remarkable,” he said.
Preetha Reddy, Vice-Chairperson, and Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group; Aditya Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Indo National Limited and Apollo Health Co-Director, and family members of Obul Reddy were present.
