Tanzania swears in President Samia Suluhu Hassan after deadly protests | Elections

President Samia Suluhu Hassan was sworn into Tanzania’s highest office after a landslide 97.66% victory, which opposition parties called a mockery of the democratic process. Demonstrators took to the streets on election day to protest the vote and stop the counting of ballots.
