Telangana Rising 2047 – CM favours separate plans for core urban, peri urban and rural agro economies in the vision document

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has suggested that the plans for TG’s development into a US $3 trillion economy should be divided into three broad categories — urban, peri-urban and rural.

The Telangana Rising – 2047 vision document should encompass the roadmap for developing Core Urban Region Economy (CURE), Peri Urban Region Economy (PURE) and Rural Agriculture Economy (RARE). The Chief Minister made this suggestíon on the third day of review meetings on the arrangements for Telangana Rising global summit being organised on December 8 and 9.

The vision document to be released on December 9 explains the opportunities in Telangana which are making rapid strides in different sectors. He wanted the vision document to clearly outline the government’s plans to develop the State into US $1 trillion economy by 2034 and US $3 trillion economy by 2047. He made several suggestions on the issues that should be incorporated in the vision document.

Specific information on the development proposed in the three regions should be explained in the document. Plans aimed at development of health, education, technology, pharma, agriculture and GCC should form part of the vision.

He was particular that information and plans on infrastructure pertaining to road and port connectivity should find an important place. Steps should be taken to give adequate clarity about welfare, temple tourism, eco-tourism, energy and other key sectors. “The vision document should reflect a policy-based approach towards the development planned in future. It should assert that there is no policy paralysis in Telangana,” he said.

He instructed officials to ensure that the document contained plans for introducing cargo movement in the proposed new airports along with passenger amenities. “Care should be taken to see that designs being prepared for inclusion in the document should be realistic,” he added.
