Three killed after being hit by train while recording video on track

Three youths were killed after they were hit by a passenger train while recording videos on the track near Siddanayakanahalli on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Rahul, 18, Bikash, 20, and Lallan, 24. The deceased were from different parts of Uttar Pradesh and worked as carpenters in Doddaballapura.

During the investigation, it was found that the three were recording videos on their mobile phone possibly to post them as reels on social media. As they were recording the video, they were hit by an approaching passenger train and killed on the spot, the police said.

The jurisdictional Yeshwanthpura Railway police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR).
