A track safety man of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. was able to retrieve a luggage fallen from a moving train ensuring it reached the rightful owner through the Railway Protection Force on Wednesday in Udupi.
One Priya, travelling on the Bengaluru-Karwar Panchaganga Express (16595), saw her trolley bag fall off from the moving train when it was reaching Udupi. The passenger immediately informed the RPF personnel at Udupi, who communicated the message to field staff. A little later, track safety man Dayanand retrieved the luggage and handed it over to the RPF.
RPF personnel handed over the bag that contained three gold rings worth ₹40,000 and other articles to Ms. Priya on Thursday in Udupi.
