Two killed, six injured as two cars collide head-on in Moinabad

Two individuals were killed and six others sustained injuries after a head-on collision between two cars in Kankamamidi village in Moinabad, on Friday (November 21, 2025) morning.

The deceased were identified as 45-year-old Kareem and 24-year-old Lokesh. The six injured occupants of the vehicles were shifted to different private hospitals in the area, where they are undergoing treatment. One of them is said to be in a critical condition.

The crash was reported at around 7.30 a.m. near a drive-in on the stretch. According to Moinabad police, a hatchback, driven by Kareem, travelling from Hyderabad towards Chevella collided with a sedan coming in the opposite direction. Both vehicles had four occupants each.

“The hatchback was being driven in a rash and negligent manner and collided head on with the vehicle coming from Chevella. The impact led to the immediate death of Kareem and Lokesh, who was seated in the front passenger seat,” a police official said. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
