The release of Vidaamuyarchi, starring Ajith Kumar and directed by Magizh Thirumeni, has been postponed. The highly-anticipated Tamil film, produced by Lyca Productions, was set to release on Pongal 2025.

The makers announced the development with a statement on X on December 31, 2024. “Due to unavoidable circumstances, our film Vidaamuyarchi will not be releasing on Pongal day,” Lyca Productions said.

The teaser of the film was released November, 2024. The movie is touted to be an intense road thriller. Ajith is seen in an intense avatar as the film comes across as an action-packed crime drama set in a desolate region.
