Watch: In conversation with ‘Sabar Bonda’ director Rohan Parashuram Kanawade


Sabar Bonda, a fiction feature from Rohan Parashuram Kanawade, releases in theatres in India on September 19. The film won the Grand Jury Prize, the highest honour at the Sundance Film Festival 2025. Kanawade talks about what inspired the film, his journey as a filmmaker without a film background and the reason for the title, which means ‘Cactus Pears’.
