Why is Pakistan after me!

A week ago I got an email from X , I only have around 1000 followers so wondered why. In a really polite letter they told me that I had put up a short video on my X and that the Pakistani Telecom Authority had wanted it removed and my X account! Imagine my shock.

The short video had two expat Pakistanis talking about the mess Pakistan had made on the Kashmir issue. I was asked to delete it and get legal help.

My very polite response to X was that I had done nothing wrong and even though the Pakistani establishment went after their own journalists to the extent of murders and disappearance, this action against me was transnational repression. I am a journalist with one of the most prestigious newspapers in India, and have never had  complaints against my work. I was based in Delhi, so Pakistan’s long claws can’t reach me.

Needless to say  X ignored the whole issue and left me wondering about Pakistan’s paranoia reaching gigantic proportions. 

No wonder their Establishment always loses against India, its entire approach is to take down people on social media. Must be having millions of people going through endless posts from Facebook, Instagram and X, the world over with a special directives to Indian users.

I realised they had two games to play first give the world and their own citizens, narratives full of lies, again and again . Then beg for money and arms and for this the field Marshall and his minion would offer a briefcase full of rare earths! That photo of them showing the briefcase to Trump, will go down in history as the strangest act of self aggrandisement or desperation ever, only to be topped by The Pakistani PM, giving the most cringeworthy speech at the Pease Summit held in Sharm el Sheik. Even the Pakistanis were embarrassed. 

Deception and snooping and terrorists is the Park Army, motto. Fight they don’t as their other motto is  – he who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day. Thus they have carefully, nurtured and taught terror cells of brainwashed men to fight for them. After all the money and land the senior officers get, they must live to enjoy it. Many have also settled in mansions abroad and have their own club in gated communities. War is for the soldiers- there is but to do and die. There’s not to ask why?

One thing the elite of Pakistan get right is dual passports, which they use to settle their kids abroad, start businesses , and use their birthplace and their high paying jobs to rob the country blind. Their utter lack of empathy for the less fortunate and their total inability to make things better, has damaged the country so much and left it practically bankrupt with huge debts.

Well I hope the rare earths they showed Trump works, I doubt if they told them that Reko Dik has a large share of the mine and the Chinese may well have some, so the US and the Pakistanis can divide their share. Sounds like things could get crowded with so many players. But then Pakistanis know how to play the game well.
